Carrefour: SVA+ App Design

Challenge

In the SVA+ project, I acted as the design team lead, driving the entire process from the initial concept to the implementation in the first 20 Carrefour Brazil stores. The platform was created for electronics sales associates and aimed to transform the in-store service experience, enabling sellers to complete an entire sale directly on the shop floor, without relying on counters or slow manual processes.

The work began with very broad business requirements. It was up to me to structure the design strategy and lead the UI and UX team in translating these objectives into practical and intuitive features.

The Solution

Together, we developed an interface that became the core of the sellers’ daily operations: they could check prices, compare products, view technical details, reserve items in other stores, perform direct supplier sales, and even offer additional services such as insurance and coupons. Every detail was designed to streamline daily tasks while improving customers’ perception of the service.

One of the platform’s key differentiators was the commissions and goals management dashboard. Leading the team, we designed a dedicated space where sales associates could track their performance in real time—accumulated commissions, goals to reach, and even rankings among colleagues. This motivational layer brought not only engagement but also direct impact on sales team performance.

To ensure the experience truly matched users’ needs, I coordinated the development of interactive prototypes and usability tests conducted directly with sales associates. This process was essential for validating navigation flows, adjusting friction points, and ensuring the tool felt intuitive from day one.

The project was built in close collaboration with the technical team and Carrefour stakeholders, always aligning business requirements with technological feasibility. This integration ensured the platform was not just a proof of concept but a robust solution fully connected to the company’s sales system.

Impact

The result was a tool quickly adopted in the pilot stores, setting a new standard for the sales experience at Carrefour and becoming a reference in the digital transformation of in-store retail operations.
